Throughout our lives we are taught things about our personalities and identities that serve as a hindrance to our spiritual development. We are taught how to act, what defines us, and what we are supposed to say and do to maintain our reputation.

Typically, spiritual awakenings happen as a result of prolonged exposure to a bad life situation, or a sudden and traumatic event that forces us to question the very circumstance of the reality around us. As we progress through the various stages of our spiritual awakening, we must inevitably confront and conquer the lies we’ve been taught.
